Product Name Advertising pencil for the Eureka Fire Hose Company. (Paragon and Red Cross were models of fire hoses).
Manufacturer and Year Unknown maker, but Eureka was making fire hoses in the late 1890s.

Filling System Takes 1.1mm (or "thick") leads, wich it extends and retracts via the traditional twist mechanism (you twist the cone).
Color Black Chased Hard Rubber throughout.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a large, dark mechanical pencil with excellent chasing and with good shine. The cone has quite a bit of microscratching and a few tiny, deep scratches toward the lead hole. The end piece is nice and shiny. The body of the pencil is excellent, with no scratching. The gold imprints are very clear.
