Product Description
Type Unknown button-filling fountain pen
Product Name Unknown, though the nib is marked "Edelchrom" - could be the nib material, could be a company name (or both!)
Manufacturer and Year Probably European - circa 1930s.
Length 4-3/4" long.
Filling System Button-filler. Restored with a new sac.
Color Silver colored (we believe the metal may be aluminum) cap and barrel. Black hard rubber section. The cap and barrel both have lengthwise panels with alternating blank and rippled lines patterns.
Nib BROAD steel nib, soft and with some flexibility. See our writing sample in the pictures. The nib is marked "Edelchrom" (translates to something like noble or fine chrome) and has an image of a leaping deer (sheep? goat?) on it, reminiscent of the Bock logo.
Condition Excellent condition. The hard rubber section has some tool marks. There is some moderate oxidation in the cap threads, and scattered small spots of oxidation on the barrel. The surface of the barrel has light scratching and scuffing, but no serious dents or dings. There is a flat spot on the blind cap. The cap has light scratching and some tiny shallow dings, as well as spots and dots o corrosion. The top of the cap has some denting around the edge. The clip has dots of pitting and brassing. This is a shiny little treasure of a pen!
