Type Vintage vacuum filling fountain pen.
Product Name Doric II, we are calling it a "II" because it is from the second generation also known as the Airliner pens.
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Eversharp, USA -- Late 1930s.
Length 4-15/16" long. We consider this the junior size.
Filling System Vac-filling pen. We have restored the system and it's working very well.
Color Jet Black. It has the Eversharp Gold Seal, and a wide cap band with triangular cutouts. Part of the barrel is slightly translucent to help you gauge the ink level.
Nib FINE 14k Eversharp manifold nib, probably a replacement from the Skyline era. It writes smoothly and is very firm.
Condition Excellent condition. The sides of the clip and the high spots have plating wear and brassing. The front of the clip is personalized with the initials "E C B". The cap band has minor brassing on the raised edges. There are some bite marks near the end of the barrel and on the blind cap. The pen is working very well.
