Product Description
Type Vintage mechanical pencil.
Product Name Doric I
Manufacturer and Year Wahl Eversharp, USA -- 1931-1935.
Length 5-5/16"
Filling System Takes 1.1mm leads which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism. It firmly grips the leads and successfully extends and retracts them. The hole at the end of the cone is a bit squared and the area beneath the cap specifies the usage of square leads. Regular thick round leads seem to work though. An ossified eraser is located underneath the cap.
Color Jet Black, the universal, appropriate for nearly any occasion color. It has gold plated trim and a cut out patterned band at the top of the barrel.
Condition Excellent + condition. The top of the barrel has a few smoothed out bite marks and scrapes. There's some brassing on the faceted trim and also on the edges and high points of the clip. At first glance, the tip of the cone looks like it is dented but it's just faceted like the rest of the pen. No cracks or chips. It's working very well.
