Filling System The fountain pen is a lever filler. The filling system is working well with a brand new sac. The mechanical pencil uses a twist mechanism. It extends leads but does not retract them. It takes "thick" or 1.1mm leads.
Color Coral Pyroxalin cap and barrel with gold filled trim. The fountain pen has a black section and black pieces on each end of the pen. There are a total of four narrow bands on the pen. The pencil has a black cap piece and a total of 5 narrow bands. The pen, but not the pencil, has the Wahl Eversharp Gold Seal on the cap.

Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a beautifully colored, very shiny, pen and pencil set that makes an impression. The fountain pen barrel has marks caused by the cap lip and from posting as well as light to moderate scratching. The section looks good. The cap has light scratchiing. All the gold bands (four in all) have plating wear, moderate scratching, and some pitting along edges. The clip has brassing, plating wear (especially on the ball end) and some pitting along the edges. The Wahl emblem above the clip has some pitting but it shows up as primarily a gold seal. The mechanical pencil has light to moderate scratching on the cap and barrel with some longer and clusters of scratches on the cap portion of the pencil. The cone has lots of tiny microscratches and some black material where it connects with the coral material. The gold bands (five in all) have light microscratching. The clip has light microscratching. All imprints on both pieces are clear.
