Product Description
Type Fountain pen set
Product Name Skyline Demi, these are the shorter sized Skylines
Manufacturer and Year Eversharp, USA -- 1940s.
Length The fountain pen measures 4-15/16" and the mechanical pencil measures 4-5/8".
Filling System The fountain pen has a lever filling system. We replaced the sac and it's working well. The pencil has a clicker mechanism to extend and retract the leads. It takes 1.1mm or "thick" leads.
Color Brown Moire Stripe is various shades of brown, reminiscent of Tiger's Eye, and broken into lengthwise lines. The pen and pencil have gold filled trim. The cap derbies and pen section are brown polystyrene. The modern stripe is made of celluloid.
Nib FINE 14k nib. It looks like the nib we see on the later Symphony pens, but it could be original. The nib writes very smoothly with no line variation.
Condition Excellent condition. Both pieces have strong clear patterning and look great in hand. They have low handwear and clear imprints. Both clips have a bit of plating wear, especially along the edges. The pencil has a small dent on the top near the clip, similar to a tooth mark but there's no matching mark on the opposite side The pen has a scratch on the derby, just a little over 1/8" long. No cracks, chips, or personalization. The fountain pen is fully restored and both pieces are working well.
