Product Description
Type Fountain pen set in excellent condition
Product Name Skyline
Manufacturer and Year Eversharp, USA -- 1940s.
Length The fountain pen measures 5-1/16" and the pencil measures 4-5/8".
Filling System The fountain pen has a lever filling system. We replaced the sac and it's working well. The pencil has a clicker mechanism to extend and retract the leads. It takes 1.1mm leads.
Color Burgundy derby, barrel, and section called "Dubonnet Red." The cap, or cap equivalent for the pencil, also is green/black striated celluloid. It also has a 3/16" cap band which is fairly uncommon. The trim is gold filled.
Nib EXTRA FINE 14k nib. It's got nice tipping and feels smooth. It is a bit springy, but no line variation.
Condition Excellent condition. Cap bands are in good shape, minimal plating wear or brassing. The fountain pen cap has some plating wear at the open end of the clip. Clips for both pen and pencil are firmly in place, no wiggling. The pencil cone looks great. The Dubonnet parts of both pieces have handwear but no major scratches. All imprints can be read. The fountain pen is fully restored and both are working well.
