Type Lever filling fountain pen, and matching pencil, restored and working well.
Product Name Symphony, model 500, first generation, as identified by metal barrel threads. This is the original Raymond Loewy design.
Manufacturer and Year Eversharp, made in USA -- 1948-49.
Length 5-9/16".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well. The pencil takes .9mm leads.
Color Black section and barrel. Stainless steel plated cap and gold plated trim. This is the original slipper cap style. The body has metal cap threads.
Nib Flexible medium (as identified by sticker) Eversharp 14k nib. It writes smoothly.
Condition New old stock condition (see photos below). No dents, cracks or scratches. We've fully restored the pen and it is working well. In Eversharp box with outer cardboard sleeve. (The burgundy fuzz on the bottom of the pen case is starting to lift off.)
This model is very hard to find without pitting to the metal caps. We have a few sets that are in perfect condition, and some which have a lot of pitting, and this particular set is free from pitting.
