Product Name Stonite, oversized model (the model name is clearly marked on the barrel).
Manufacturer and Year Gold Bond -- circa 1930s. This is one of the best quality "second tier" makers, and becoming more collectible.
Length 5-1/2".
Filling System Lever Filler, restored with a new sac and guaranteed for a period of one year from the date of purchase.
Nib 14k Gold Bond #8 Nib. It's a large semi-flexible nib with line variation from fine to medium/broad. See writing sample below.
Color Green Marble with flat black top and end pieces, and gold plated trim. The two thin bands on the cap are solid 14k gold and marked as such.
Condition Excellent condition. There is light scratching and handwear, but no large individual scratches. The clip has brassing along the sides, and some tiny spots of brassing on the ball end. The cap bands look fantastic. The front of the section has some tool marks and small chips on the edge. There are tooth marks on the end of the barrel. The lever bar has some light brassing on the edges. The barrel is personalized with the name "J. E. Mc Cardle".
