Manufacturer and Year Good Service Pen Co., Chicago -- 1920s or 30s. Good Service Pen Co. was a Sears Roebuck brand, sold in their stores. Based off of the clip, the pen was manufactured by National.
Length Just under 4-3/4".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color The cap and barrel are mostly a pale jade with white swirling veins. There are darker green pieces with black and white swirls attached to the top of the cap and end of the barrel. There is a band of hatching marks on the border between materials on the cap and the barrel. The pen has gold filled trim consisting of a clip, lever, and narrow cap band.
Nib FINE FLEXIBLE 14k #3 nib. It has good line variation from easily spreading tines. See the writing sample below
Condition Superior condition, almost mint though the pen had been inked. The barrel imprint is crisp. The hatching pattern on the pen is consistent and there is no discoloration. The trim looks perfect. No cracks or chips, dings or dents. The pen is fully restored and working well. It will ship in its original box with some of the original paperwork, though the instruction sheet has been scribbled on..
