Manufacturer and Year Unknown, USA - 1920s or 30s. We have seen similar hand painted pens by John Holland and Sheaffer, but this isn't marked. The feed looks a bit like Conklin, but we don't think they made any hand painted pens.
Length 4-1/2", excluding ringtop hardware.
Filling System Lever filler, restored here at Peyton Street Pens. Filling system guaranteed for one year from the date of purchase.
Color Black material with a floral design of gold-outlined flowers, and wandering lines filled in with red, and some blue highlights. .
Nib FINE 14k "Made in USA" nib.
Condition Very nice condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a shiny, highly original, colorful pen with a boldly painted design. Some of the paint has been worn away, but several of the flower outlines can still be made out. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip. The cap and barrel both have light overall scratching. The lever has a small spot of plating wear on the side of the end circle. The ring top hardware is intact and working well.
