Manufacturer and Year Charles H. Ingersoll, Newark, NJ -- the celluloid Dollar Pens were available briefly starting in 1927. In 1928 they switched to bakelite and changed the markings on the button knob.

Filling System Twist filler. We've restored it and it's working well. For this filling system, the sac is affixed on the back end to a plug, with a pointed tack inserted into the plug which would turn and squeeze the sac. Color Green striped celluloid cap and barrel with with black flat end pieces and section, and gold plated cap band and clip. The green stripes range from very dark green (almost black) to jade, to a green cream color and with some amber mixed in. The color is very beautiful.
Nib 14k gold flex Ingersoll nib (see writing sample, below).
Condition Excellent condition for this beautifully colored, oversized pen. No cracks, chips, dings, dents or personalization. Both the cap and barrel have moderate scratching,. The barrel has horizontal capping lines. The black end piece on the barrel has some deeper scratches around the lined section and toward the very end. The black end piece on the cap has one deeper scratch on it. The imprint on the cap end piece is crystal clear, "Guaranteed Chas. H. Ingersoll Newark N.J.". The pen has been fully restored and it's working very well.
