Condition Very nice condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a fairly shiny black pen, in a classic design. The barrel has light scratches except for the end where there are bite marks as well as marks that appear to be made by posting. The lever has brassing and some plating wear. The cap has light to moderate scratching. The cap band has some microscratching but is nice overall. The clip has brassing, plating wear along edges, and some tiny dots of pitting along edges. The imprints are clear.
There's a little needle inside the thin tube of the tip which keeps the channel from clogging and helps feed ink to the tip, and the needle moves back and forth in the tube with a shake of the pen, just as it should.
