Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is an unusual, beautifully colored pen that is shiny. The cap and barrel have moderate scratching overall. The cap band has plating wear and some dots of pitting. The clip has light scratching, with some areas of light plating wear along the edges. The lever has a bit of pitting along the top edge and some plating wear on the sides and edges, but it is nice and golden otherwise. The imprints are clear.
There's a little needle inside the thin tube of the tip which keeps the channel from clogging and helps feed ink to the tip, and the needle moves back and forth in the tube with a shake of the pen, just as it should.
