Product Description
Type Modern cartridge/converter filling fountain pen, working well, in box.
Product Name Parson's Essential
Manufacturer and Year Italix Pen Company, made in England, Germany and the Far East, for MrPen, UK -- this is a current model.
Length Just over 5-1/2" capped. The pen has a large metal component and is heavy.
Filling System Takes international-style cartridges and converters. A piston converter is installed.
Color Black piano lacquer over brass. 1/4" cap band with woven thread pattern. Gold plated trim.
Nib Medium two-tone steel nib marked M is smooth and firm with a cut for line variation. We believe this is the italic version and not the cursive stub because the tines look a bit wide for medium. We know that the Italix nibs run wide for the italic cuts and a bit narrower for the cursive stubs.
Condition Superior condition. There is some handwear that interrupts the lacquer finish. As a whole the pen is still shiny and smooth.
