Filling System Japanese style eyedropper. These pens are built with a shut-off valve at the end of the barrel. To fill, simply unscrew and remove the nib section and pour ink into the barrrel compartment as you would be a normal eyedropper. To write, you must unscrew the knob at the end of the barrel slightly, in order to allow ink to flow to the nib. This knob is attached to a rod that extends into the barrel. When the knob is flush with the barrel, the rod extends to a hole in the ink collector and cuts off the ink. The system has been restored with a new cork seal.
