Manufacturer and Year Jefferson Fountain pens, 1930s. (Jefferson was one of the several brands produced by the David Kahn manufacturing company, the best known of which is likely Wearever.)
Length 5-1/4 inches.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Smooth yellow celluloid with gold plated trim. The flat cap top and end of barrel are black. The section is black. Wide 1/2" 14k gold-filled cap band (marked).
Nib Small FINE 14k flexible nib. Line variation from fine to medium. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a large, bold pen in a bright yellow color, with a 1/8" wide cap band. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip and moderate scratching, especially near the end of the pen. The lever bar has plating wear. The black piece at the of the barrel has a few nicks as well as scratching. The cap threads have tiny chips and ink stains, but the cap still screws on easily and securely. The cap has light to moderate scratching. The cap band and clip both have brassing and some dots of corrosion. The imprints on the lever and clip are clear.
