Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen
Product Name 90A, the 90A is marked on the blind cap.
Manufacturer and Year Kaweco, made in Germany -- 1930s.
Length 5-1/8 inches.
Filling System Piston filler. We replaced the seals and tested the system, and it is working well.
Color Marbled green and black with gold plated trim and clip. The trim is ornate with a leaf pattern.
Nib BROAD LEFT OBLIQUE 14k nib with flexibility. The tines spread easily and will give you pretty good line variation. The end of the barrel has the code "06" on it, and we found a 1937 Kaweco flyer that shows that this is their "Schrägbreit" nib which translates as "slanted broad". See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition. The clip ring has brassing. The rest of the clip and the cap bands have scratching and some brassing. The cap and barrel have light to moderate scratching and handwear. The section looks great, with no tool marks. The ink view window is clear. No cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. The pen has been tested and is working well.
