Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen and pencil.
Product Name Kaweco Sport Pen Model 112.
Manufacturer and Year Kaweco, Germany -- 1950s, the model was introduced in 1948.
Length 3-15/16" capped
Filling System The fountain pen is a piston filler. We had to repair the system with a new cork seal and it's working very well now.
Color The body appears to be celluloid. This model came in ebonite, celluloid, and a mix of both. It has no trim and is black with a guilloche pattern.
Nib Fine steel soft stub or cursive italic nib. It writes with good line variation and the tines separate but it writes more like a fine cursive italic than a semi-flex nib. It's very smooth and is labeled F on the barrel. The nib has A-4 etched in it. The nib has some pitting marks towards the base but this doesn't affect writing.
Condition Superior condition. The pen has very little handwear. It has a few marks on the blind cap and the top of the cap. Most of the wear shows on the nib. It could easily be confused with the modern versions of the same model.
