Product Description
Type Cartridge/converter filling fountain pen, working well.
Product Name Lady Sheaffer 925. It is a high end White Dot pen. This is a rather hard to find model, "Sea Spray", shown on page 123 of the Lambrou book. It is standard length but slightly slimmer than the Imperials of the same era.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA -- circa 1973
Length The fountain pen is 5-3/16 inches capped
Filling System The fountain pen takes Sheaffer squeeze converters. Piston converters are too long. It will come fitted with a squeeze converter.
Color The body is rhodium plated, resulting in a very shiny silver colored finish in a pattern called "Sea Spray." It's very busy and is bark-like. It has a gold plated clip.
Nib MEDIUM Sheaffer 14k gold "Stylpoint" recessed nib is smooth with lovely tipping material. It has some softness and give to it, but no real line variation due to its upturned shape. (Please note that the Lambrou books shows this pen with a conical Triumph nib. According to our research, when these pens first came out in 1971 they were fitted with a short version of the Triumph nib; this was changed in 1973 to the type of "Stylpoint" nib which is on this pen.)
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a truly lovely pen with a nice surface texture and a good combination of materials, patterning, and color. The cap band has some small spots of plating wear. The imprints are clear.
