Product Description
Type Beautiful uncommon three-piece set (fountain pen, ballpoint, and mechanical pencil) in vintage Lady Sheaffer.
Product Name Lady Sheaffer Skripsert Stylist -- this is an unusual model, one that we've not seen before! The surface patterning is Gold Moire, which was one of the Lady Sheaffer designs. However, all three pieces have clips, the long thin Stylist clips, which are not present on the Lady Sheaffers.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- c. 1968 (this is the later period of the Skripserts, when they shifted to short Triumph Nibs).
Length The fountain pen is 5-1/2" long, ballpoint is 5-1/4" long, and the pencil is 5-3/16".
Filling System The fountain pen takes standard Sheaffer cartridges. Many Lady Sheaffers do not accept converters, however we were pleased to find the modern piston converter will fit, and we have installed one.
Color The body is light colored gold enamel in a moire pattern with matching cap and engraved barrel bands. The section on the fountain pen is black.
Nib FINE short triumph style gold nib is smooth with nice tipping material.
Condition Excellent + condition, in box. No cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. The fountain pen looks great, with just some small marks around the top edge of the cap and end of the barrel. The clip looks great. The section just behind the nib is discolored and grey (common in the Stylists, we think the material is probably hard rubber). The ballpoint pen looks terrific, with just some light scratching on the clip. The pencil has some small scratches in the middle that are very visible under magnification, but are hard to see in the hand. All three White Dots have a bit of yellowing, but are otherwise perfect. The box is in beautiful condition, with complete coverage of the fabric on the outer surface (no rips or tears), and the color is quite lovely.
