Filling System Sheaffer cartrdiges are required. We tested squeeze converters, button converters and piston converters, and none will fit. The mechanical Pencil takes 0.9mm leads. We will include a packet of leads and a cartridge.
Color The body is white enamel with detailing in gold. These fish-scale patterns are called Paisley by Sheaffer.
Nib FINE steel short Triumph style nib marked Sheaffer USA.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks for this beautiful, elegant pen and pencil set with lots of shine and with lovely patterning of deep gold outline with pure white inlay. The fountain pen looks excellent. The cap has a few small dots of pitting near the top and the gold paint at the very tip of the cap is chipped. The body of the barrel looks great. There is chip in the paint at the very end of the barrel. The mechanical pencil has paint chipping and discoloration at the very top of the cap portion. There are a few small blotches of paint wear on the barrel section. The cone has plating wear and tarnishing. These imperfections are very difficult to see with the naked eye as the patterning is bold and intact. There are no imprints on either piece.
