Product Description
Type Vintage "Ladies" cartridge filling fountain pen.
Product Name Lady Sheaffer XI -- part of the Skripsert line.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- circa later 1950s or early 1960s.
Length 5-3/8".
Filling System This pen takes standard Sheaffer cartridges. It cannot accomodate a converter. Unlike many of the other ladies style, the body is too small to fit even a Sheaffer Button converter.
Color The body is black enamel over metal, with the detail in gold. We've heard this "Tulle" pattern described as crushed chicken wire.
Nib FINE two-tone Triumph nib. Steel with partial gold masking. It's smooth and firm with lovely tipping material. There's a definite "Waverly" upturn.
Condition User grade condition. There are some chips and scrapes in the enamel (see photos) as well as other scratches and marks. No dings or dents, or personalization. It's working well.
