Nib FINE 18k Cartier nib.
Color Velvety black barrel, lined gold plated cap, clip, and trim. There is a serial number, 038628, engraved on the thin gold band at the top of the barrel. The end of the barrel has a rounded gold piece with a black jewel in the center. There's a lined palladium section, and we think this pen would have originally had a gold plated section.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a large, heavy, elegant pen with a velvety black, shiny barrel and section and a glinting gold oversized cap. The section and barrel have light microscratching. The section has microscratching and some plating wear along some of the lined edges. The cap, clip, and top piece have microscratching. The imprints are clear.
