Product Description
Type Modern fountain pen
Product Name Louis Cartier Stripe
Manufacturer and Year Cartier, France -- this is a recent but not current model.
Length 5-5/8"
Filling System The pen takes standard international refills and converters. It is fitted with a Cartier converter.
Nib Fine 18k Cartier nib. It has silver colored masking that matches the trim perfectly.
Color Black cap and barrel with metal plated trim and section that we think is probably palladium. We're going with palladium plating based off of the lack of hallmarks. Cartier started using palladium in the late 1980s and France does not require palladium hallmarks. There is a black cabochon at the end of the barrel. The pen has a striped pattern.
Condition Near mint condition in box. Light handwear and microscratching. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. All of the metal portions looks good, no plating wear or brassing. The hallmarks and imprints are clear. The pen looks good and hasn't been overly used. In red Cartier box with outer sleeve, however the box was for a limited edition version of this pen.
