Product Name Swan Eternal 54 ETN (marked clearly on the end of the barrel).
Manufacturer and Year Mabie Todd & Co., New York -- circa late 1920s
Length 4-5/8"
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Mottled red hard rubber with gold plated trim and three narrow cap bands.
Nib FINE Mabie Todd & Co. Eternal #4 Nib is on the extra fine side, firm and fairly smooth with good tipping material remaining.
Condition Excellent condition. There's handwear on the barrel, but no large scratches, or open cracks or chips. (There does seem to be a repaired crack on the cap lip, it is very well sealed.) The coloring is good, with just a slight difference between the section covered by the cap and the rest of the pen. The clip has some plating wear and pitting around the edgs, and brassing on the ball end; the face of the clip looks really good. The cap bands have touches of brassing. There's some plating wear on the lever. The imprint is a bit worn but is still readable. It's fully restored and working well.
