Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen with a flexible nib.
Product Name Unknown
Manufacturer and Year Mabie Todd & Co., New York -- circa late 1920s.
Length 5-1/2"
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working well.
Color Smooth black hard rubber with gold plated or gold filled trim. It has a marbled green celluloid band towards the cap lip with two thin gold bands over it.
Nib FINE 14k Swan Eternal #4 nib. It's smooth and firm. Do not expect any line variation; even though it's a Mabie Todd Swan nib, it's not flexible.
Condition Excellent + condition. There are a few shallow bite marks on the top of the cap and the end of the barrel. The swan imprint is a bit faded but the entire imprint can still be read. The trim has some wear including a small dent on the upper cap band, but the only brassing we see is on the top edges of the clip where it attaches to the cap. The clip looks particularly good. The pen is fully restored and working well.
