Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working well.
Color Black hard rubber with solid sterling overlay. The top of the barrel and the section are not covered. The silver has an elaborate textured flourishes motif.
Nib SEMI-FLEXIBLE FINE 14k Swan #2 nib. It's very smooth with good tipping. It's got excellent hairlines and line variation but we don't consider this pen to be overly flexible. See our writing sample below.
Condition Superior condition. The patterning looks and feels very intact. There are a few tiny marks in the smooth parts of the sterling and a scraped area at the end of the barrel. The hard rubber at the top of the barrel is a little discolored. The barrel imprint is easily read. It has an elaborate stylized imprint that blends in with the design. The personalization reads, "POP JUDELL / FROM / SACTO.COUNCIL / No. 140" The pen is fully restored and working well.
