Nib | Mabie Todd #2 New York nib. Excellent line variation with very little effort, from fine to almost double broad. Good tipping material in evidence. From looking at the nib, you would not expect a nice fine line, but the cut has a little italic to it so you get a good thin line on the horizontal unflexed stroke. Please see the writing sample. |
Condition |
Superior, gently restored condition. It writes and fill very well. The chasing and imprints are excellent. Excellent dark color. No cracks or chips. There's a scratch near the "Swan" imprint on the section. There are a few impressions on the end of the barrel that could be bite marks. Speaking of imprints, we've never seen so many on one pen! Perhaps they had to make up for the lack of a clip. |
