Product Description
Type Lever filler fountain pen
Product Name SM 100/60.... the model number is visible on the end of the barrel.
Manufacturer and Year Mabie Todd & Co. England -- 1930s
Length 5"
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working well.
Color Black chased hard rubber with nickel plated trim. It's a very basic pen, with an ebonite lever.
Nib FULLY FLEXIBLE FINE "Swan" #1 14k Mabie Todd & Co. nib is in nice condition, with good tipping. Very soft feeling with little pressure required to flex. The feed is imprinted "MI" which we are guessing indicated "medium italic." When the nib is flexed, it spans between fine and a broad. We consider this full flex. See the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition, light wear only and so much pitting on the clip it looks like an intentional hammered effect. The chasing and imprint are crisp and intact. The pen looks great, with no cracks, chips, or big scratches. Fully restored and working well.
