Product Description
Type Twist fill fountain pen
Product Name Swan Leverless
Manufacturer and Year Mabie Todd & Co. England - probably sometime in the 1940s or 50s
Length 5-1/8"
Filling System Twist filler. You twist the knob on the end of the barrel and it pulls a pressure bar down to squeeze the sac. We've restored it and it's working very well. We'll include instructions on filling the pen.
Color Dark green and black marble with gold plated trim. The section and end knob are black. Three thin cap bands.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE Swan #2 14k nib is in beautiful condition, smooth with great tipping material. It's nicely flexible, with easy line variation from a fine to a broad. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition. No cracks or chips or personalization, just light scratches and handwear. The cap finial and end knob have faded a bit to a dark ollive color, which works nicely with the green in the pen. The medallion at the top of the cap has a bit of plating loss. The cap bands look great. The clip has a ring of brassing around the ball at the end. The imprint is very clear. It's a nice looking pen with an interesting filling system, and the nib makes it a real pleasure to write with.
