Product Description
Type | Twist fill fountain pen ... this is a thick, good sized pen with a nice feel to it. |
Product Name | Swan Leverless Pen, model unknown (usually these UK Swan pens have a 4 digit model number near the twist knob, but this does not) |
Manufacturer and Year | Mabie Todd & Co. England -- pre World War 2 (after WW2 they made this model in solid colors only) |
Length | 5-1/8" |
Filling System | Twist filler. The filling system is working well with a new sac. |
Color | Grey marble with gold plated trim. The top of the cap is hard rubber, and a swan emblem is embedded as it should be. |
Nib | Large Swan Eternal #4 Nib (medium with semi-flex). Please note that there is a crack running from the base of the 4 to the tail (we are assuming it goes all the way, we didn't pull the nib.) |
Condition |
Excellent working condition. It writes and fill very well, and there is very little wear. Excellent imprint. No cracks or chips, just a few bite marks. Light plating wear on the high points of the clip. The nib is excellent with TONS of tipping material, but the crack (as described above) is the only notable defect to this otherwise lovely collectible pen. We've priced it accordingly. |
