Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Majestic Deluxe, as named on the nib
Manufacturer and Year Majestic Pen Co, USA -- 1940s. The Majestic Pen Co. was originally J. Harris & Co. from New York, but the company changed its name in the mid to late 1930s.
Length 5-1/8".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working well.
Color Pearlescent copper brown in a striped pattern with silver, probably nickel, plated trim which might have originally had a gold wash. It has a 3/16" geometric patterned cap band that is gold colored, so that's where we get the idea that it might have had a gold wash on the trim originally.
Nib MEDIUM Warranted 14k nib is smooth with nice tipping material. It's got just a hint of flex to it, but no notable line variation.
Condition Excellent condition. Majestic pens are notorious for thin plating and that is where all of the wear is. The cap band ieasily moves. Otherwise the pen looks just about new. The viewing window is so clear it might have never touched ink. The pen is fully restored and working well.
