Product Description
Type fountain pen
Product Name Dotcom
Manufacturer and Year Marlen, Italy - early 2000s
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System Uses the captive converter system. Essentially it is a piston fountain pen converter accessed by removing a blind cap.
Color Clear demonstrator with black accents and silver trim. The space between the three thin cap bands is painted black.
Nib 18k broad nib. It has an B imprinted on it. The nib is springy and very smooth.
Condition Excellent+ pre-owned condition. We're not sure if it has been inked or dipped as there are no signs of this. The material in the barrel shows some interesting characteristics - it's kind of foggy, or slightly crazed, but it seems to be entirely contained within the material. There's a small ring of it inside the cap, but we can't feel any change in the texture. Since the converter is captive, it won't cause any additional scratching inside the barrel. Otherwise the pen has only light handwear and no scratches, cracks, or chips. The barrel imprint is very clear.
