Product Name Meisterstuck 164 - this is the ballpoint pen that would match the size of the 144 fountain pen.
Manufacturer and Year Montblanc, Germany -- has a "Germany" imprint, so likely 1990s.
Length 5-3/8".
Filling System Takes standard Montblanc refills. A medium black refill is included in the pen. You twist the cap clockwise to extend the tip.
Color Black with gold plated trim. There is a white Montblanc emblem on the top of the cap.
Condition Excellent condition. There is light to moderate scratching on the cap and barrel. The clip and nose cone are a slightly different color than the cap bands - they're almost copper-colored, where the bands are more of a yellow gold. We're not quite sure what happened here, maybe clip and cone were replaced, and they're plated with a slightly different alloy? We tried polishing them, and the color remains the same, and is very even, so we're chalking it up to "mysteries of the universe" and we've priced the pen accordingly. The trim has polishing marks, but no dents or dings, or plating wear. There is some tiny chipping on the barrel by the cone. The imprints are clear.
