Product Name Monte Rosa 042, the Monte Rosa is on the cap and the 042 is on the piston knob. (The 042G had a gold nib, whereas this pen is the plan 042 with a gold plated steel nib.)

Color Black with gold plated trim. It has a scalloped patterned cap band and a blue tinted viewing window.
Nib EXTRA-FINE gold plated steel nib. The piston knob has "EF" printed on it for extra-fine nib.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a velvety black, shiny pen that has a unique look with its scalloped cap band and bright blue viewing window. The barrel has light microscratching. The cap has light scratching. The cap band and clip have moderate microscratching and some plating wear. The blue viewing window is nice and clear. The imprints are clear.
