Product Description
Type Limited edition fountain pen
Product Name Cigar Aficionado, #0514/2500 (the number mark is below the section).
Manufacturer and Year Montegrappa, Italy -- 1997
Length 5-3/4"
Filling System Piston filler. Tested and working well.
Color Multiple shaded brown celluloid over a glass barreled piston filler. The pen is meant to look like cured tobacco. From a distance the pen looks much like a cigar and it has a sterling tobacco leaf clip and is stamped, "Cigar" at the end of the pen where a cigar's maker's mark would be.
Nib 18k 750 two-tone MEDIUM nib. The silver color is platinum. Very smooth.
Condition Near mint condition, in beautiful wooden box, with a leather centerpiece that features a scene of Cuba. The box is in a printed decorative cardboard box, and that box is a little worn around the corners. This is number 514 of 2500 pens. This is a heavy pen with a removable filling system. The mid-barrel has a thin scratch (hard to see because of the pen coloring, but it is shown in the last photograph below). The "Cigar" mark at the end of the barrel is a bit worn. The imprints are otherwise clear.
