Product Description
Type Modern luxury fountain pen, works well, converter included.
Product Name Symphony fountain pen.
Manufacturer and Year Montegrappa, Italy -- 1990s.
Length 5-7/16 inches, a semi-fat pen with dimension similar to Pelikan m800 or the Montblanc 146.
Filling System It's fitted with a Montegrappa converter which can be removed to accept cartridges. It is international refill compatible. We've cleaned and tested it to ensure it is working properly.
Color Yellow marble celluloid with sterling silver trim, a wide 7/16 inch wide cap band marked 1912 Montegrappa, and a sterling end piece with threads in it for posting the cap.
Nib Fine Montegrappa 18k gold two-tone nib mostly silver colored with a Greek key design in gold. It has lovely tipping, and has nice flexibility. Not full flex, but a bit better than the typical soft feeling Italian nibs.
Condition Excellent + condition with only light handwear evident on the section, cap band, and end caps. There is some minor tarnish which can be polished further. The only flaw we noticed was that the ball of the clip has been slightly flattened and the clip stands away from the cap by a fraction of an inch. No cracks, dings, dents, or personalization. The pen has been cleaned and tested, it's working very well. Includes box large luxurious box, book/booklet, and cardboard outer box.
