Product Description
Type Fountain Pen
Product Name Unknown - it very similar to a 94A pen we've had, but is not marked with a model number on the barrel. Life Maniflex nib.
Manufacturer and Year The Moore Pen Co., Boston, Mass., USA - circa early 1940s
Length 4-7/16"
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaed the sac and it's working well.
Color Gorgeous brown colored finish with black lines, this is one of the "snakeskin" patterns of ringed celluloid. Gold plated trim.
Nib FINE nib is marked Moore Life Maniflex 14k. It is fairly firm, with good tipping, and feels smooth on paper.
Condition Excellent condition, though it shows some light wear. There are some small and light scratches on the barrel and cap, but no chips or cracks. The trim looks nice, though there are some areas where the plating is flaking off in tiny spots, just a little on parts of the cap band and on the edge of the lever (visible in the final photo below). Overall it's quite an attractive pen, with the window that shows its ink level appearing very clear. Fully restored and working well.
