We noticed some denting or rippling where the nib disappears into the section, and ended up pulling out the nib to inspect it further. We've included those detailed shots in the pictures, but found no cracks, and the pen seems to be working well.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a small shiny pen in black hard rubber with a lovely chased wavy pattern. The color looks quite good, very dark with minimal fading. The barrel has light marks caused by the cap lip. There is some light handwear, but the chasing pattern is crisp and strong. The barrel imprint is also crisp and clear. The cap also looks quite good, with just a few small scratches. The chasing pattern is lovely. The cap band has light scratching, and one small shallow dent in the blank engraving area. The clip has brassing on the ball end and along the sides, with just microscratching on the face. The lever looks great.
