Filling System This is a variation on the safety pen. To fill you unscrew the cap and fill the pen reservoir like an eyedropper, then push the bottom part of the barrel towards the section to extend the nib. It is slide based. This "Non-Leakable" system includes a pin in the cap to push the nib down if the user forgets to retract the nib before attaching the cap, but that still risks nib damage so please do your best to remember to slide the nib back into the barrel before capping. The system has been disassembled, restored with new seals, and tested. It is working well.
Color Black hard rubber with a gold filled trefoil leaf filigree.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE nib. It has a Moore Pen Co. imprint. The tines spread easily for good line variation. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition. There are small amounts of brassing on the edges of the filigree but no large brassed areas. The black in the hard rubber is very dark. The end of the barrel has some dents and scratches. No cracks. No personalization despite the nice cartouche area.
