Product Description
Type Lever fill fountain pen and mechanical pencil set with a great flexible nib
Product Name Unknown
Manufacturer and Year Morrison Fountain Pen Company, New York -- 1930s
Length Pen is 5-1/8", pencil is 5".
Filling System The pen is a lever filler, which we have fully restored with a new sac. The pencil takes 1.1mm ("thick") leads, which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism. The pencil is not working well at all.
Color Gold filigree over black hard rubber. The filigree has a floral cut out pattern. The gold is marked 1/40th 14k gold.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE Warranted #2 nib. The tines spread easily though not overly far. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition The fountain pen is in superior condition. The patterning is superb and the black is perfect. The pen is fully restored and working perfectly. The pair ships in an excellent condition Morrison box.
The pencil is less than user grade. The twist mechanism works to extend leads but it's hard to push them back in. Also the cone is not well secured and comes loose due to a break in the hard rubber. The pencil cone is also severely dented. If it didn't look so handsome in the box next to the fountain pen we would have excluded it from this offering.
