Product Description
Type Lever fill fountain pen with a great flexible nib
Product Name Unknown
Manufacturer and Year Morrison Fountain Pen Company, New York - circa 1920s or 30s. Morrison was one of the third tier pen makers who actually made some really nice pens, this being one of them.
Length 5-1/4" and slim.
Filling System Lever filler, we've restored it with a new sac and it's working perfectly.
Color Black chased hard rubber with red ends. No cap band, just a groove. The trim is most likely nickel.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM Morrison 14k NY #4 nib. It appears to have nice tipping, and is fairly smooth. It's close to what we would call full flex. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition except for a crack in the feed (see photos). This does not seem to affect the writing, but it means you may need to treat this pen more carefully than otherwise when cleaning or wiping it down. There are just a few very small scratches in the cap and barrel, and the barrel bows out a little around where the lever is anchored (see photos). The imprint is fairly crisp and readable. No cracks or chips in the cap or the barrel. It's restored and working well.
