Product Description
Type Lever filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Unknown. Morton was associated with Morrison, and while neither was a top tier maker, this is one of their nicer oversized pens.
Manufacturer and Year Morton USA -- 1920s-30s.
Length 5-7/16 inches.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working well.
Color Black celluloid body and cap with gold plated trim and a double cap band.
Nib FINE FLEXIBLE Morton 14k No. 8 nib is smooth, with a bit of good tipping material remaining. It's a fine leaning toward medium, so don't expect hairlines. The nib has some scratches on the surface, as can be seen in the photo below. It's not quite what we would call fully flexible, but has nice everyday flex to it, with easy line variation from fine to broad under very little pressure, and goes up to a nice fat double broad. See writing sample below and judge for yourself.
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. There are some scratches and marks on the cap and barrel as well as some plating wear on the clip and lever. Nib scratches as described above. The pen still has nice shine to it. It has been fully restored and is working very well.
