Color This is the Deep Gloss or "濃：光沢" version of the Briarwood. It is a deep brown and black. This is the glossy version, where the wood is coated with layers of urushi lacquer, then polished to a high shine. This technique allows you to admire the beauty of the wood, and adds the protective coating of urushi. It has gold plated trim. Black plastic section.
Nib Medium 14k Nakaya nib. A 14k Japanese medium is comparable to a Western fine nib.
Condition Near mint condition in box. The briarwood looks really great with a lovely glossy finish. There are some small dents in the surface, reinforcing the organic nature of the material. Slight polishing marks on the gold trim, but otherwise in fantastic shape.
