Nib Ultra Extra Fine 14k nib writes surprisingly smoothly. With such a fine point, you will want to use very smooth paper and a very light hand while using this pen. You'll also want to use caution if paper fibers do get trapped between the tines - this pen did not come with a special cleaning tool, though we have seen other UEF pens include one. The shim on those is incredibly thin, and anything thicker will cause a gap between the tines.
Condition Near Mint in box. The pen has never been inked. There is some microscratching and surface marks on the cap and barrel, which is likely just "shop wear", as we saw no signs that the pen was ever inked.
Ships in softwood box with pen kimono, and an outer mulberry paper box.
Nakaya is the luxury line of Platinum and their cartridges and converters are interchangeable.
(Important safety note: As previously mentioned, this pen is the same as the Platinum 3776. Current 3776 models have a metal bushing at the end of the section, which helps to a) guide the converter into position and also b) stabilize the converter so that you don't accidentally break off the nipple. THIS PEN DOES NOT HAVE THAT BUSHING. You'll want to be sure to pull the converter straight off of the section, with no wiggling side-to-side. If the nipple breaks off, it cannot be replaced.)
