Product Name White Tiger LE from 1995, limited to 300 pieces total. This was the first limited edition in the Yukari line of pens, and is very collectible and hard to find.
Manufacturer and Year Namiki, Japan, 1995. We did note that the nib is not original to the pen as it has a date code of A602, for 2002. We were told the original owner had Namiki swap it for a medium. The style of the nib matches the original one that came with the pen.
Length 5-5/8"
Filling System Fitted with a Pilot converter. With nib submerged in ink, press the button on the end of the converter and let go. Wait 3 to 4 seconds and repeat about 4 times. The ink capacity is greater than a normal twist converter.
Color A black pen with painted tiger and bamboo of red, silver, and gold. The trim is gold colored. Signed by the maki-e artist.
Nib The 18k #10 nib is marked medium. Japanese mediums are generally finer than most western modern mediums. The pen has never been inked.
Condition This pen is in beautiful near mint condition. There are some small faint scratches on the cap and barrel visible under magnification, but the overall look in hand is a beautiful work of art. Comes in large maplewood treasure chest box box with paperwork. There are 4 keys located under the platform that have tassels, none of which fit the lock. The actual key is a simple, demure silver colored key attached to the accompanying booklet. The outside of the box has some light surface scratches and scuffs, but no cracks or chips.
