Type Collectible Japanese maki-e fountain pen. These pens are hand painted with Japanese laquer and gold dust, as well as decorated with flakes of raden.
Product Name Namiki Yukari - Seahorse. This pen is #237 from a limited edition of 300 pens.

Filling System Fitted with a Con-70 converter, and will also accept Pilot cartridges. With nib fully submerged in the ink, press the button on the end of the converter and let go. Wait 3 to 4 seconds and repeat about 4 times. The ink capacity is greater than a normal twist converter.
Color Black pen with seahorses swimming among kelp and coral. The larger seahorse on the barrel is decorated with raden. The pen is signed by the master maki-e artist Masato Sato and has the number 237, so this pen is the 237th out of 300 pens. The trim is gold colored.
Nib The 18k nib is marked medium, though Japanese mediums are finer than most western mediums. The nib is in excellent condition.
Condition Never inked. This pen is in beautiful near mint condition with hardly any sign of wear. Comes in the original wooden box, which has a plaque indicating the model name and the number, as well as a certificate of authenticity for triple confirmation. There is also a bottle of black Namiki ink in the box, with a seahorse panted on the cap.
