Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Fill E-Z, it is written on the barrel imprint. It has a #5 nib
Manufacturer and Year New Diamond Point Pen Co., made in USA -- 1930s. (The New Diamond Point Pen company was a renaming of the original Diamond Point Pen Company after the business changed hands .... there's some info that the original owner was killed in the first world war.)
Length 5-1/4".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working well.
Color Black chased hard rubber with a squared pattern. The trim is nickel plated. The cap has a large rounded white-gray piece at the top.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM 14k #5 nib. It is smooth and the tines spread easily for large line variation, so we consider it full flex. The tipping has a bit of a shape to it so you can get some line variation even when the nib isn't flexed. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks or chips. The cap chasing is very strong. The barrel chasing is weaker and looks a little worn. The cap lip and the section have some brown tones. The trim has a matte look to it but doesn't seem brassed. There are no scratches. The primary wear is handwear. The barrel imprint is clear but can be difficult to read.
