Manufacturer and Year New Diamond Point Pen Co., made in USA -- 1930s. (The New Diamond Point Pen company was a renaming of the original Diamond Point Pen Company after the business changed hands .... there's some info that the original owner was killed in the first world war.)
Length 5-1/4".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working well.
Color Black and Bronze celluloid in a cracked ice pattern. The bronze parts are translucent. It has marbled pattern. It has two cap band placed flush with each other for the appearance of a 1/8" cap band.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM 14k #8 nib. It is smooth and the tines spread easily for large line variation. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. There is a little pitting on the narrower of the two cap bands but no plating wear on the clip or lever. The lever is a little loose. The bronze parts of the celluloid are still translucent. There is enough handwear that the pen has a bit of a dull appearance in hand but no real scratches. There is a very slight bulge around the middle of the barrel. No cracks or chips.
